LONDON, ON – They ran away from the scene of a collision, and when police found them the next day, they tried to run away again, but were eventually caught.
However, extensive damage was caused to several vehicles, including two police cars, before the two suspects were handcuffed.
It all started Tuesday night when police responded to a collision in Riddell Street and Grace Street.
A gray Volkswagen Jetta was involved in the head-on collision but fled before police arrived.
Police caught up with the suspect vehicle in the Wellington Street and Peel Street area on Wednesday.
Once again, the suspects attempted to escape, hitting two patrol cars and a third vehicle.
At that time, the male and female suspects fled on foot, but the police were following them closely.
When arrested, police found them in possession of fentanyl and crystal meth, along with other drug-related paraphernalia and stolen goods.
A 25-year-old man faces 12 counts, including failure to stop after an accident, and several drug-related counts.
A 25-year-old woman from St. Mary’s faces four drug-related charges.
No injuries were reported in any of the collisions.
