Collection Manager for the Birds Section. Pittsburgh Carnegie Natural History Museum is recruiting a Collection Manager for its Birds Section, which contains nearly 190,000 bird specimens, according to his website, comprising 196 specimens of extinct birds as well as specimens of rare species, and is ranked roughly as the ninth largest such collection in the United States. The Collection Manager will be responsible for the “physical care, maintenance and preservation of the bird collection, in order to maintain and improve specimen records and databases,” and more.
